Wiltshire Council (formerly Wiltshire County Council) has commissioned Mouchel to award a works contract for to remediate its landholding at the Household Recycling Centre (HRC) which is located on land which formed part of a gasworks site on Furnax Lane near Warminster, Wiltshire.
Applications are invited from Main Contractors wishing to be included in the two–stage tendering contract using the NEC Form of Contract, Option B – Priced contract with Bill of Quantities.
The contract will consist of a number of components, including but not exclusively:
• Excavation of approx 2400cubic metres of contaminated soil, a probable 50/50 split between hazardous and non–hazardous material out of which 800 – 900cubic metres might be re–used, as much processing on site as possible, associated chemical testing, offsite disposal of waste materials.
• Estimated contract value – £450K.
• Expected construction period is January to March 2010.
The tender process will be conducted under a restricted/negotiated procedure based on a technical specification. Wiltshire Council will not be bound to invite every organisation that applies and will not be bound to award any contract under this tender process. Evaluation of tenders will be on the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT) or a 'Best Value' basis assessing both cost and quality.
Prospective contractors should register their interest by e–mailing Warminster@mouchel.com by the noon of 6th November 2009 to receive a Pre–qualification questionnaire.
Completed questionnaires should be returned not later than 14:00 on Friday 27th November to the address indicated on the PQQ.
